La fotografia di strada è istintiva e riflessiva al tempo stesso.
Ti coinvolge, ti travolge e non puoi più fare a meno di entrarci dentro e non puoi più fare a meno di viverla e condividerla. Non ti interessa più di fotografare una bella scena, di fare una bella foto. Ti interessa solo di entrare dentro a quello che vedi dal mirino della tua fotocamera, ti interessa solo di leggerci attraverso e di condividere le tue sensazioni attraverso quello che cristallizzi dentro al fotogramma.
Che sia una scena, un ritratto, una situazione; quella è la mera, forte e pungente verità. La fotografia diventa il tramite per inglobare il mondo e allo stesso modo il tramite per trasmettere te stesso al mondo. In strada non c’è nulla di artificiale, nulla di scenografico e spesso le migliori fotografie sono quelle meno belle, ma che portano dentro la forza della realtà, l’impatto forte dell’essere davanti alla mera condizione umana, spogliata di tutti i fronzoli della finzione. Quando la gente è per i cazzi suoi è se stessa, sta recitando se stessa, in una sorta di monologo che ricama la sua stessa storia e persona.
In questa serie, che ho chiamato, stolen portraits (ritratti rubati), ho voluto provare a cogliere la vita delle persone, la loro storia, attraverso le loro espressioni e i loro atteggiamenti. Nella loro vita quotidiana, in una città caotica e “agitata” come Londra. In mezzo alle strade, durante una manifestazione e durante una festa religiosa. Gente che parla, gente che pensa, gente che cammina, gente che mangia, gente che prega, gente che protesta.
The street photography is instinctive and reflective at the same time. It involves you, overwhelms you and you can not stop to get into it and you can not stop to live it and share it. Do not you care more to take a picture of a beautiful scene, to make a nice picture. You just want to get inside what you see through the viewfinder of your camera, you just want to read us through and to share your feelings through what you crystallize inside the frame. Whether it’s a scene, a portrait, a situation, that is the mere, strong and pungent truth. The photograph becomes the means to understand the world in the same way the way to share yourself to the world. On the street there is nothing artificial, nothing spectacular and often the best photographs are those less beautiful, but they bring the force of reality, the impact of being strong in front of the mere human condition, stripped of all frills of fiction. When people are alone is itself, is playing herself, in a sort of monologue that embroiders his own story and person. In this series that I have called, stolen portraits, I wanted to try to catch people’s lives, their history, through their expressions and their attitudes. In their daily lives, in a chaotic city as London. In the midst of the streets, during a demonstration and during a religious festival. People talking, people who think, people walking, people eating, people praying, people who protest.

Mi scuso preventivamente per aver fotografato persone riconoscibili senza chiedere il permesso, la mia idea di fotografia di strada è quella di cogliere attimi ed espressioni spontanee senza nessuna finzione scenica o pose. Ho grande rispetto per le persone che fotografo. Le persone ritratte potranno in qualsiasi momento chiedere che le loro immagini vengano immediatamente cancellate senza darmi spiegazione alcuna. I apologize in advance for photographing recognizable people without asking permission, my idea of street photography is to capture moments and spontaneous expressions without any theatrical fiction or poses. Me disculpo de antemano por fotografiar personas reconocibles sin pedir permiso, mi idea de la fotografía de la calle es capturar momentos y expresiones espontáneas sin ficción teatral o posturas. Tengo un gran respeto por la gente que fotografío. Las personas retratadas podrán solicitar en cualquier momento que sus imágenes se borran inmediatamente sin darme ninguna explicación.
